this morning’s sermon (yeah, i went to the 9:30 am service today.. can you believe it???) was about redemption. pastor seth drew insight from the movie catch me if you can and spoke about how frank abignale first used his talents for bad, but then was redeemed and used them for good.

and then later we experienced redemption first hand by claiming the 2004 intramural basketball championship! ok, it was for the 5′9″ and under league.. but still, a championship is a championship nonetheless. for many of us, it was our first IM title, and it came after 4 years of bitter losses. for me, the memories of the 2002 broomball season came back to haunt me.. our all-star team made it to the semifinals after a winning our quarterfinal game in a heartpounding sudden death shoot out. and then days later we were disqualified from the tournament because one of our players was playing on another team, which was a violation of the rules. but now we have all been redeemed!! victory is ours! ohh yyyyeeeaaahhh!
