there are three types of cops in this country.

type 1: these cops chose to be cops so they could serve their community, enforce laws, and make this world a better place. they are proud to wear the badge. they wave to little kids.

type 2: these cops became cops to put food on the table. they may or may not care about serving their community or making the world a better place - you wouldnt be convinced either way by interacting with them. they wear the badge because it’s part of the uniform, and they only wave to little kids who are holding their hot momma’s hands.

type 3: these cops became cops because they picked on other kids in high school, then after graduating or dropping out, they realized that they couldnt just go around picking on other people and being stupid and immature in the real world. they were the only ones from their friends who were still living with their parents and making minimum wage, and they each concluded that they were pretty pathetic. one day, many years later, they decided that maybe being a cop could fill the longing inside them for things to be just as they were in high school, when they could pick on other people and gain [the shallowest form of] respect based on reputation alone. these cops wear the badge so everybody knows they have the right to boss civilians around. these cops kick the kids who get in their way.
